The Rocky Mountain Pony Herd aims to promote pony play — or human-equine roleplay — in the broader Denver BDSM communities and provide a space for pony players, their handlers, and those interested in exploring the scene to meet, socialize, and play.

We aim to promote a pro-consent culture. Remember to obtain consent before any kind of touch or play with anyone. We follow aspects of both SSC (Safe, Sane, and Consensual) and RACK (Risk Aware Consensual Kink).

We are a space focused on amplifying marginalized and non-dominant identities. This means that while we are a space for everyone interested in pony play and kink in general, we work to actively oppose all forms of bigotry, intolerance, and discrimination, including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism. If we ask a member to think about their actions or words, please remember that we do this not because we’re singling anyone out, but because sometimes actions or words have a broader implication than one might have meant.

The Rocky Mountain Pony Herd was started in 2014 by blaze_pwny as the Denver Pony Teamsters Union, a small monthly munch at a local Tokyo Joe’s.

In a little over 2 years, we have expanded into larger venues to host twice-monthly vanilla munches and pony play dates. In the future, we plan to participate in pony events and competitions around the country.  Eventually we hope to host our own local/regional events.
